A daydream of mine came true in 2017. I was home on leave from teaching with my 3 year old and 17 month old. We tried countless story times and classes, joined the local YMCA, and had wonderful experiences, but I kept looking for more. I felt like something was missing for our little ones in Central New York.  My teacher/mommy brain wanted a weekly class that offered music and movement, stories and sensory play, child led pretend play, messy brain building art, and most importantly fostered age appropriate socialization. I wanted a class that practiced fine motor skills, was rich in language concepts and new vocabulary, and selfishly, my husband and I wanted to meet and socialize with other parents in the community while our children were busy playing!

I was obviously looking for a one-of-a-kind program. So after three years of planning and a drive downtown for a “DBA,”  Play2Learn was born! Before I knew it, I was lesson planning and creating programs for weekday and weekend classes. Soon my husband, also an educator, helped build our summer offerings, and I promise you will LOVE THEM!  I encourage you to read our class descriptions and see if there is an upcoming class or camp that fits with your family’s schedule.
