*Sorting is an early math skill that encourages ch *Sorting is an early math skill that encourages children to examine ways that items are alike & different and teaches them to organize them into sensible groups. *Here the girls show off their “nature treasures” they found on a walk. We brought them home and dumped them on the driveway. I let them sort them and we drew circles to separate their groups. My older daughter came up with the idea to label the groups (r for rocks, p for pine cones etc!) Such great conversation and lots of outdoor fun 👍❤️ *What do your little ones like to sort at home?
We love painting with water on the driveway/road! We love painting with water on the driveway/road! This week we tried Wet Dry Try with sidewalk chalk & a paintbrush. Mommy modeled formation of shape/number then she “Wet” her paintbrush and traced my chalk lines. After the sun began to “dry” and fade the lines, she got to “try” herself with the chalk and rewrite the shape on top of our barely there lines. Repetition is everything when it comes to learning correct handwriting formation so let’s make it FUN! *This was easy to differentiate for my two girls. Younger siblings could just free paint and make marks with water!
