Mind, Body, & FUN!
FALL Fun at Play2Learn!
You and your child will look forward to our weekly hour of playing and learning at Lysander Park! This one hour class will include a READ ALOUD, SONGS, and whole group MOVEMENT games (parachute, dancing, sensory bands, etc!). Each session we’ll plan age appropriate and seasonal topics to promote language development. Social skills are practiced naturally as the children visit a variety of play stations , all intentionally designed with learning objectives in mind. Early literacy , fine motor, gross motor, language, sensory, and artful play will be presented through both structured and unstructured forms of play at stations.
*All activities and projects will have ways to differentiate for children ages ~2 – 6 years old.
*Siblings worn/ in strollers can attend free of charge with their older siblings. We ask that you enroll the younger sibling if they plan on enjoying the sensory bins, making art projects, & participating in the activities.
Health/Safety:
Hand sanitizer at stations. Child will stay with his/her small group throughout the morning. Each family will need to bring their own large blanket to sit on at the literacy station. Families can sit at their own art tables, sensory play stations at the park’s pavilions.
-We will ask you to please stay home if you or anyone living in your home is showing any one of these symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, other respiratory symptoms or any two of these symptoms: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat or new loss of taste or smell. Please stay home if you or anyone you’ve been in close contact with has been exposed to COVID-19.
YOU are your child’s first and most influential teacher! Our P2L classes provide caregivers with strategies to foster social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth during this most critical period of brain development! We look forward to hosting another season of PURPOSEFUL PLAY!
